The 57th Peachtree Road Race has a new title sponsor, ending a 49-year naming partnership with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The Atlanta Track Club has announced Northside Hospital as its new naming rights partner of the world’s largest 10K race. The Atlanta Track Club is the second-largest running organization in the U.S.
The AJC remains the Fourth of July event’s official media partner.
The announcement comes after a number of significant changes at the AJC over the past two years, including layoffs — the most recent impacting 15 percent of its staff — and the end of its print newspaper after 157 years.
“…We are grateful to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution for nearly five decades of support that helped grow the Peachtree into a defining Atlanta tradition,” said Rich Kenah, CEO of Atlanta Track Club, in a statement.
The Peachtree Road Race has grown from 110 finishers in 1970 to more than 50,000 each year.
“The Peachtree Road Race reflects the best of Atlanta, including our community, perseverance and pride,” said Andrew Morse, president and publisher of The Atlanta Journal‑Constitution, in a statement. “As official media partner, the AJC is proud to continue shining a light on the people and stories that have made this Fourth of July tradition a defining part of our city for generations.”
Northside Hospital is already a sponsor of the Atlanta Track Club’s Atlanta Women’s 4 Miler, as well as the Peachtree Junior (July 3) and the Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race scheduled for Jan. 2, 2027.
“Their commitment to keeping Atlanta active and healthy aligns perfectly with the mission of Atlanta Track Club,” Kenak said. “Together, we will continue to elevate the Peachtree experience for runners, volunteers and spectators while honoring the tradition that makes this race such an iconic July 4th celebration for all Georgians.”
