The Georgia Chamber of Commerce held its annual quail hunt earlier this month, bringing together business leaders and state officials with a shared focus on economic development.

The 37th annual Georgia Quail Hunt was held in the Albany area. More than a hunting tradition, the gathering is designed to attract investment, create jobs, and strengthen partnerships that benefit communities across the state.

Business leaders throughout the U.S. were invited to participate in the event to learn about the advantages of doing business in Georgia.

“This event continues to demonstrate our commitment to drive economic prosperity across the state,” said Chris Clark, Georgia Chamber president and CEO.

During the three-day event, Gov. Brian Kemp emphasized that Georgia’s economic strength extends beyond Atlanta. Attendees took part in “immersive experiences” highlighting Georgia’s diverse economic landscape, as well as how the state’s tax environment and talent pool help drive economic success, according to a statement from the Georgia Chamber of Commerce.

Kemp told WALB News, “It’s about us selling the quality of life that we have here in Georgia.”

Albany leaders said that potential projects could help small businesses thrive.

“The Georgia Quail Hunt is a powerful opportunity to tell Albany’s story … through personal connection,” said Matt Reed, Albany Area Chamber of Commerce CEO. “When business leaders experience our community firsthand, they see the collaboration, talent and momentum that make Albany a compelling place to invest and grow. We’re proud to showcase everything Southwest Georgia has to offer.”
